Combination of Storage, Startup and Channel Experience Makes New Executive a
Natural Fit
SUMMIT, N.J.--(Business Wire)--
Today, WhipTail Technologies Inc., a provider of solid state storage appliances
founded in December 2008, announced that John Zamites has been appointed channel
manager. As such, he is responsible for building the company`s sales channel to
ensure that the company`s products, beginning with the WhipTail product, are
readily available to mid- to large-sized enterprise customers nationwide.

Zamites brings more than 20 years of storage industry experience to the
position, beginning with desktop disk drives in the UNIX environment. Over the
past 10 years, Zamites has been focused on emerging storage technologies -
working for startup ventures at companies such as LeftHand Networks, RELDATA and
Xiotech, which were on the cutting edge of IP-SAN, iSCSI and virtualization
technologies. In these positions, he was responsible for establishing channel
programs regionally and nationally, as well as penetrating the Fortune 1000 in
the metro NYC market.

"With many members of the WhipTail Technologies executive team coming from
channel backgrounds, we are fully aware of how critical the channel can be to a
product`s success," said Ed Rebholz, CEO of WhipTail Technologies. "We`re
counting on the power of the channel to take WhipTail nationwide, but first we
knew we needed to bring someone on board who could be dedicated to channel
efforts day in and day out - really live and breathe the channel. With John`s
combined storage and startup experience, and proven record as a top performer,
the choice was really a no brainer."

"In the past 10 years, I`ve really developed a passion for working with
emerging, cutting-edge storage technologies and companies, and I like to think
I`ve gained perspective on where the true potential lies," said Zamites. "I`ve
seen first-hand what WhipTail is capable of doing, and there`s no doubt the
product`s got potential. What we need to do now is make sure companies
experiencing problems as a result of underperforming systems are aware of, and
have easy access to, WhipTail, and that`s where I come in."
