MOSCOW, April 20 (Reuters) - Russia's VSMPO-Avisma (VSMO.MM), the world's largest titanium producer, has finalised a $4 billion deal to supply titanium products to Airbus and its parent EADS (EAD.PA) until 2020.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told a signing ceremony on Monday VSMPO would cover about 60 percent of Airbus' titanium needs.
VSMPO-Avisma, controlled by state conglomerate Russian Technologies, and Airbus signed a preliminary deal last year with the aim of covering supply of round and flat-rolled titanium products and stampings for contemporary Airbus models.
VSMPO-Avisma, which has production facilities in Russia's Ural mountains, exports about 70 percent of its products and also counts U.S. aviation giant Boeing (BA.N) among its main customers. (Reporting by Anton Doroshev, writing by Dmitry Zhdannikov)
