Rich Media Studio Combines Video and xGA/DVI Capture into One Video Stream to Deliver Dynamic Presentations to Intranet and Internet Audiences WALLINGFORD, Conn.--(Business Wire)-- VBrick Systems, Inc., the world leader in Enterprise IP Video solutions, today announced the availability of VBrick's Rich Media Studio, a video and data capture appliance that combines video and xGA/DVI capture into one video stream. Launched at NAB 2009, the Studio allows organizations to easily deliver live rich media presentations over IP networks and record content for on-demand viewing. The integrated stream can be distributed to tens of thousands of viewers without having an adverse impact on the network. "Many VBrick customers require the ability to integrate desktop graphics with their video. The Rich Media Studio will enable them to easily create presentations with convenient audio and video mixers, pre-configured templates and touch screen commands," said John Shaw, VBrick's Executive Vice President. "The Rich Media Studio combines the video and xGA/DVI output into one stream, which makes the solution much more scalable and manageable. Customers are freed from managing tens to hundreds to thousands of .jpg images that are often created by competing solutions." In a typical user environment, video and content are delivered as separate files and placed into a web application. When multiple viewers attempt to access the information, it often results in the network becoming bogged down. However, when information is sent over one video stream, VBrick's Reflector technology allows it to be distributed in a scalable manner. Ideal applications for the Rich Media Studio include executive video broadcasts and webinars, streaming of university lectures and distance learning, and other distributed multimedia applications. The Rich Media Studio is a simple, plug and play appliance that works seamlessly with VBrick's EtherneTV ecosystem. Presentations created with the Rich Media Studio are captured at their native resolution and can be delivered to multiple endpoints - PCs, Macs, VBrick Set Top Boxes (for display on plasmas and LCDs), and even to mobile devices via picture-in-picture functionality. Users also have the convenience of being able to switch between multiple audio and video inputs, such as cameras, xGA/DVI from computers, document cameras or DVDs, to create dynamic presentations. Once the presentations have been created, they can be easily viewed in the EtherneTV system, or published to the Internet via VBrick's managed IP Video service. The Rich Media Studio will be available for shipping in May. To learn more about VBrick, visit www.vbrick.com. About VBrick Systems, Inc. VBrick is the leader in Enterprise IP Video solutions.
