Agreement Helps Raymond James Reduce Infrastructure Costs, Improve Bandwidth
Utilization and Increase Efficiency, While Providing More Sophisticated Wealth
Management Tools and Information to Advisors
BEDFORD, Mass.--(Business Wire)--
Interactive Data Corporation (NYSE: IDC), a leading provider of financial
information, analytics and related solutions, today announced that Raymond James
Financial (NYSE: RJF) has deployed Interactive Data`s real-time browser-based
market data terminals for use by 4,000 financial advisors in their Private
Client Group.

Interactive Data`s Market-Q provides Raymond James` financial advisors access to
a broad set of high-quality financial information, including global real-time
market data, Dow Jones` real-time news and analysis, along with commentary on
companies, markets and events, as well as research from a range of sources. It
also offers sophisticated tools, such as advanced charting and other
capabilities. Market-Q can be accessed from web browsers, providing users the
flexibility to utilize its capabilities regardless of their location.

Raymond James chose to implement Market-Q as a fully hosted solution, thereby
eliminating the need for additional on-site technology infrastructure costs
associated with servers, circuits and routers, while offering complete Internet
accessibility at reduced bandwidth costs. Market-Q offers flexible conflation
settings, providing Raymond James an appropriate level of data while realizing
significant improvements in bandwidth utilization and network traffic.

Market-Q`s modular technology design and flexible deployment options enabled
Raymond James to quickly introduce this offering to their clients. After working
closely with Interactive Data`s customer support team, Raymond James has fully
deployed Market-Q in its Private Client Group.

"I believe Interactive Data`s innovative offerings provide us with the quality
and breadth of content, including access to Dow Jones news, and sophisticated
tools our financial advisors can utilize to provide their clients with highly
personalized, unbiased financial advice," said Chet Helck, chief operating
officer, Raymond James Financial. "We view Interactive Data as a trusted
partner, willing to work with us to understand our requirements, and then
provide us with solutions that address our needs and help us achieve our
business goals."

"The combination of Interactive Data`s innovative technology and market data
with Dow Jones` real-time news and commentary provides a powerful tool for
Raymond James` financial advisors," said Clare Hart, president of Dow Jones
Enterprise Media Group. "The Dow Jones/Interactive Data collaboration is
delivering news, information and research that can be easily customized to meet
advisors` needs and interests and help them provide informed advice to their
clients."

"The current market environment and focus on cost control, coupled with the
ongoing industry shift from a transaction-based model to more fee-based revenue,
lessens the need for many wealth management firms and others to maintain heavy
market data infrastructures to support both customers and advisor platforms,"
said Matt Bienfang, senior research director, TowerGroup. "The ability to deploy
and host Java-based technology can help institutions in this market to control
market data costs, freeing-up resources to focus on other critical aspects of
their businesses."

"We are delighted that Raymond James has decided to expand our long-term
relationship by selecting Interactive Data to provide real-time market data
terminals to its financial advisors," said Ray D`Arcy, president and chief
executive officer, Interactive Data Corporation. "In light of the continued
challenging financial market conditions and the changing needs of wealth
managers, Interactive Data is continuing to focus its expertise and resources on
creating an appealing range of innovative market data terminals that are
designed to provide the `right` amount of data and tools that our clients need.
With these services, we are focused on leveraging content and capabilities
across our Company to offer institutions in the wealth management market a truly
compelling alternative to their current market data terminals."

D`Arcy continued, "We look forward to continuing to work closely with Raymond
James by equipping their financial advisors with a solution that is designed to
maximize their productivity and help their clients make informed financial
decisions."

Market-Q is Interactive Data`s flexible Java browser-based real-time market data
desktop terminal for financial institutions. This comprehensive service
integrates global real-time data, news, research, key U.S. corporate actions and
dividend data, as well as sophisticated tools for advanced charting and alert
