Dr. Nedim Cen Joins Alvarez & Marsal as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Restructuring Practice in Germany

has announced that Dr. Nedim Cen has joined the firm as a managing director and
co-head of the firm`s Restructuring practice in Germany.

With nearly two decades of experience in management consulting, investment
banking and serving in management roles, Dr. Cen brings proven expertise in both
operational and financial restructuring of German corporates.

Dr. Cen recently served as CFO for KION Group, a €4.5bn KKR / Goldman Sachs
portfolio company and European market leader for forklift trucks, where he was
instrumental in spinning-off KION from Linde AG. Prior to joining KION, Dr. Cen
served as managing director and head of M&A for Germany, Austria and Switzerland
at Credit Suisse. Prior to that, Dr. Cen was a managing director of Dresdner
Bank. He began his corporate finance career at Goldman Sachs, as part of the
strategic advisory team based in Frankfurt. Prior to his banking career, Dr. Cen
served as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, where he advised numerous
companies on corporate restructuring and performance improvement initiatives.

Dr. Cen earned a master`s degree in mechanical engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) and
business administration (Dipl.-Kfm.) from the University of Aachen (Germany). He
was awarded a PhD. (Dr. oec.) from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland),
where he worked at the Institute for Technology Management (ITEM) for 3 years.
As a German national, Dr. Cen is fluent in English and German.
