Allstate-National Journal Heartland Monitor to Deliver Comprehensive
Assessment of Middle Class Anxieties and Changing Attitudes
In-depth poll to measure perceptions on issues ranging from healthcare costs,
retirement and job security to who is best equipped to solve today's financial
crisis
CHICAGO and WASHINGTON -- The Allstate Corporation (NYSE: ALL) and National
Journal will on Friday, April 24th at an event beginning at 8am in National
Journal Group Headquarters at The Watergate offer detailed results from the
first Allstate-National Journal Heartland Monitor. This poll is the first in
a series of detailed measurements to analyze in specific terms how the
recession and financial crisis is impacting personal budgets and is affecting
long-held perceptions about the future of the middle class.
Allstate Chairman, President and CEO Tom Wilson will be present to discuss the
significance of the poll and the broad social, political and economic
questions that this comprehensive research addresses. Detailed results from
this unique survey will be presented by Atlantic Media Company Political
Director Ronald Brownstein and FD CEO Edward J. Reilly.
