KN Karen Neuburger(R) and Dillard's Invite Shoppers to Give Mom the Gift of
Comfort This Mother's Day

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Americans are spending more time
at home than in previous years according to a new survey conducted by KN Karen
Neuburger. In fact, two in three adults say they are spending more time at
home compared to previous years, and three in ten respondents say the current
state of the economy has contributed to an increased amount of time spent at
home. In addition, adults find themselves getting into their pajamas or
comfortable clothes a lot earlier in the day than they used to. (62% women,
44% men).

The survey, a snapshot of American attitudes toward home and the economy, also
suggests that adults find the most comfort and relaxation when spending time
at home. The survey also indicates that age group, marital status, education
level, and income level make a significant difference in where adults find the
most comfort and relaxation.

Comfort & Relaxation at Home
The majority of U.S. adults (82%) say that they find the most comfort and
relaxation when spending time at home. Given this finding, KN Karen Neuburger
and Dillard's stores across the country are promoting the idea of comfort
gifts for mom this Mother's Day. "Given the current state of the economy, we
are seeing more people nesting, staying at home, and looking for comfort,"
Said Jenna Lowe, Director of Marketing for KN Karen Neuburger. "We think that
KN pajamas make the perfect gift for moms. They are the ultimate little luxury
that will make mom's day."

In an effort to spread the comfort message to shoppers, Dillard's will be
giving away a box of luxury bath salts as a gift with purchase when shoppers

Survey Methodology
This Home and the Economy survey was conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf
of KN Karen Neuburger. All data collection was done online within the United
Statesbetween December 18 and 22, 2008 among 3,189 adults ages 18 and older.

Results were weighted as needed to reflect the composition of the U.S. adult
population using targets for region, age within gender, education, household
income, and race/ethnicity.

All sample surveys and polls, whether or not they use probability sampling,
are subject to multiple sources of error which are most often not possible to
quantify or estimate (including errors associated with sampling, coverage,
nonresponse,. question wording and response options, and post-survey weighting
and adjustments). Therefore, Harris Interactive avoids the words "margin of
error" as they are misleading. All that can be calculated are different
possible sampling errors with different probabilities for pure, unweighted,
random samples with 100% response rates. These are only theoretical because no
published polls come close to this ideal.

Respondents for this survey were selected from among the Harris Poll Online
(HPOL) database, which includes several million people who have agreed to
participate in Harris Interactive surveys. Because the sample is based on
those who agreed to be invited to participate in the Harris Interactive online
research panel, no estimates of theoretical sampling error can be calculated.
