DTS Announces New Blu-ray Audio Production Tools at NAB

DTS Continues to Deliver Cutting Edge Audio Solutions

DTS, Inc. (NASDAQ:DTSI), announced today exciting Blu-ray disc audio tools for
the professional and prosumer markets, including DTS-HD Master Audio Suite v2.0
and SurCode's DTS-HD solutions for Apple Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio
users. With the increase in Blu-ray Disc production and penetration of Blu-ray
hardware, these offerings provide content producers new ways to deliver
best-in-class DTS audio on their BD titles.

To date, there are hundreds of BD titles released in the market that take
advantage of DTS-HD`s unique One-stream architecture, which offers flexibility,
scalability, and backwards compatibility. It proves not only simple for
consumers to use and enjoy, but makes DTS-HD Master Audio the most data and
bandwidth efficient lossless audio solution for Blu-ray Disc. Professionals can
create audio streams for authoring via standalone as well as integrated
applications: 

I. DTS-HD Master Audio Suite v2.0(MAS v2.0)

DTS announces the release of Version 2.0 of their leading software, DTS-HD
Master Audio Suite. With over 30 features and enhancements, this latest version
adds new Bonus View encoding features including dynamic Mono panning as well as
Seamless Branching optimization for multi-story and multi-angle titles. MAS v2.0
also features the fastest BD audio encoder on the market, at 3 to 4 times faster
than real-time for lossless audio encodes. 

The DTS-HD Master Audio Suite v2.0 retails at $1495.00 and includes three
components: the DTS-HD Encoder, DTS-HD StreamPlayer, and DTS-HD StreamTools. It
is compatible with Mac-Intel, Windows XP, and now Vista. Updates for existing
users will be available for download at no additional cost. 

II. DTS-HD Audio Solutions for Apple Compressor and Quicktime

DTS and Minnetonka Audio Software are unveiling new DTS-HD audio solutions for
Apple Compressor and Quicktime. This encoder / decoder plug-in pair is aimed at
the Apple professional community:

* SurCode Encoder for DTS-HD for Compressor 
* SurCode Decoder for DTS-HD for QuickTime

The SurCode Encoder for DTS-HD plug-in for Apple Compressor 3 is capable of
producing DTS encoded streams for Blu-ray Disc and DVD directly within Apple
Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio. It supports DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High
Resolution, and DTS Digital Surround, encoding at up to 6.1 channels as well as
low bit-rate DTS Express for Bonus View and BD-Live. The SurCode Decoder for
DTS-HD for QuickTime offers users the ability to playback all DTS-HD and DTS
stream types with the easy-to-use QuickTime Player. 

SurCode Encoder for DTS-HD for Compressor retails for $249 and includes SurCode
Decoder for DTS-HD for QuickTime. SurCode Decoder for DTS-HD for QuickTime can
be purchased separately for $29. An official release date of May 31st has been
set and both products will be available directly online at

NAB Show. 

DTS-HD Master Audio Suite V2.0 will be shown at the Renaissance Hotel, Suite
939, adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center South Hall, April 20-22. 

SurCode for DTS-HD solutions for Apple Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio will be
showcased on the NAB Show floor at Minnetonka`s booth N8531 as well as the DTS
Lounge, Suite 939 at the Renaissance Hotel Las Vegas.
