AXA Equitable to Host Free Thought Leadership Program Aimed at Addressing
Today's Retirement Crisis

Event to Be Held in New York City, Live Video Broadcast Also Available on the

host a free thought leadership forum -- "Retirement Crisis: Now What?" -- on
April 21, 2009, in New York City. The program will focus on the financial
challenges that have followed a yearlong period of unprecedented market
volatility. Details of the event include:

What: A five-person panel of retirement thought leaders will cover a range of
topics, including the future of Social Security, the fate of 401(k) savings
plans, retirement programs that may no longer be effective in light of current
market volatility, and how public, private and individual roles in securing a
sound financial future may evolve in the next year.

Panel participants include:


    --  Moderator, Amy Feldman - An associate editor at BusinessWeek in New
        York. Ms. Feldman covers retirement, tax, investing and other personal
        finance issues.




    --  Panelist, Peter Brady, Ph.D. - A senior economist for the Investment
        Company Institute. Mr. Brady studies the role of mutual funds in the

    --  Panelist, Dallas Salisbury - President and chief executive officer of
        the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI). Mr. Salisbury joined
