Silver Tail Founder to Lead Panel at RSA eFraudNetwork

abuse, announced today that Laura Mather, Ph.D., company founder and vice
president of product marketing, is moderating the panel "Protecting
Customers: Case Studies from Leading Enterprises" during the
eFraudNetwork meeting at the RSA Conference this week. Mather will
moderate a panel of fraud experts from Bank of America, Yahoo! and
Medicare/Medicaid. The discussion will center around various techniques
for protecting customers including encrypting data, education, and
tracking down the perpetrators of online crime.

Laura Mather is a worldwide expert in combating internet fraud and a

Policy for the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG) where she drives
internet policy to fight electronic crimes and online fraud. Prior to
co-founding Silver Tail Systems with Mike Eynon, she spent three years in
fraud prevention and anti-phishing at eBay, one of the brands most
targeted by internet bad guys. Before eBay she was a Director of Research
and Analysis for the online division of Encyclopedia Britannica, and a
research analyst for the National Security Agency (NSA). Laura holds a
Ph.D. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, both from
the University of Colorado.
