Spencer to Exhibit Air and Gas Handling Equipment Solutions at ACHEMA May 11 -
15, 2009

WINDSOR, Conn., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The first-ever participation of The
Spencer Turbine Company at ACHEMA 2009 will give international customers a
look at the latest Spencer technologies and capabilities. Spencer is the
recognized global leader in air and gas handling system solutions for the
process industries.

ACHEMA 2009 runs from May 11 through 15 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The
show, held every three years, is a showcase for new technologies and products
for the process industries. The show is typically attended by 4,000 exhibitors
and 180,000 visitors from around the world.

More than 115 years of experience in air and gas handling products has earned
Spencer a worldwide reputation as the company to contact for unique solutions.
The company custom engineers, designs and manufactures its blowers and gas
boosters to handle "nasty gases," including halogens, hydrogen, acetylene,
sulfur dioxide, and a full range of others.

Spencer will be featuring custom designed and manufactured blowers and gas
boosters for handling temperatures to 593 degrees C (1100 degrees F), casing
design pressures to 6895 kPa (1000 psig), inlet pressures to 3448 kPa (500
psig), differential pressures to 138 kPa (20 psig) and volumes to 25485 m3/hr
(15000 icfm). Because of the extreme challenges presented by industry
applications from air sparging to vapor extraction, it is often the case that
only Spencer has the resources to provide the right solutions. Spencer can
also provide custom blowers and gas boosters mounted on a skid, complete with
controls and system accessories for easier installation.

For corrosive gases, the company can provide custom coatings such as
Teflon(R), Ryton(R), Heresite(R) baked phenolic, anodizing, galvanizing, and
special paint such as epoxy, enamel or polyurethane. Spencer can fabricate
blowers and gas boosters using metals and alloys such as stainless steel,
aluminum, Hastelloy(R) and Monel(R) that offer corrosion and abrasion
resistance, spark-resistant operation, non-stick performance, and high or low
temperature resistance.

Spencer's engineering and technical experts will be available at Stand F4 in
Hall 9.0, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day of the show. For additional
