- What Do YOU Want to See on Every Flight? -
ORLANDO, Fla., April 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a
subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI) today asked passengers, "What
do waffle makers, widgets and wombats have in common?" They all could be
answers provided to the question posed by the low-cost leader in its newest
campaign: What do you want on every flight?
AirTran Airways is encouraging the public to log on to
http://www.everyflight.com to make their own suggestions, view other
submissions and sign up for a special promotion for a chance to win a seat on
every flight. The newest addition to AirTran Airways' products will be
announced May 12, 2009.
The Web site will provide links to television spots featuring quirky
"marketing professionals" Rick and Devin as they attempt to brainstorm the
airline's new service offering - but can't quite get it right. The campaign
will be supported by televisions and radio spots, out of home (OOH)
advertising, online advertising and airport signage in an effort to raise
awareness and spark curiosity among the airline's customers.
"We'd like to know what our passengers want; whether it's Jacuzzis, foosball
tables or live music, we want to hear from you," said Tad Hutcheson, vice
president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways. "We encourage all our
customers to keep those creative suggestions coming until the big reveal in
May."
AirTran Airways has been a leader in offering premium features, including XM
Satellite Radio, Business Class seats and the largest selection of Coca-Cola
products on every flight. This new site continues that innovative trend.
The new campaign, created by the airline's long-time advertising agency,
Cramer-Krasselt, will launch in some of the airline's key markets and will be
supported with $8 million in initial media spending.
AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI) and a
Fortune 1000 company, has been ranked the number one low cost carrier in the
Airline Quality Rating study for the past two years. The airline offers
coast-to-coast flights on North America's newest all-Boeing fleet with
Business Class and complimentary XM Satellite Radio on every flight. To book a
flight, visit http://www.airtran.com.
