Europe stocks extend losses; banks, commods fall

LONDON, April 20 (Reuters) - European shares extended losses in morning trade on Monday with commodities retreating as crude and metal prices slipped and banks lower. By 0824 GMT, the pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index was down 1.3 percent at 803.77 points having been up as much as 814.48 points earlier.

Energy stocks were in the doldrums as crude CLc1 fell 1.8 percent. BG Group (BG.L), BP (BP.L), Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) and Total (TOTF.PA) were down 0.4-2.8 percent. (Reporting by Joanne Frearson)
