FRANKFURT, April 20 (Reuters) - European shares extended losses on Monday afternoon, dragged down by a lower opening on Wall Street, after Bank of America's (BAC.N) results boosted by one-time items showed credit quality deteriorated.
At 1351 GMT the FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index of top European shares was down 3.3 percent at 788.33.
Banks took most points off the index, while miners were another standout loser with the DJ STOXX Basic Resources Index .SXPP down 6.8 percent.
The Dow Jones .DJI, the S&P 500 .SPX and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC were down between 2.1 and 2.4 percent in early trade. (Reporting by Christoph Steitz)
