California confirms 8th case of swine flu

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - An eighth case of the swine flu, which has killed up to 149 people in Mexico, has been confirmed in California, Sacramento County health officials said on Monday.

The case is the first in Northern California. All seven cases previously confirmed were in San Diego and Imperial counties, which share a border with Mexico.
