SILVER SPRING, Md.--(Business Wire)--
InfraTrac, a product protection company with innovative anti-counterfeiting
technology, announced the appointment of Dr. Harvey E. Bale, Jr., recently
retired from the position of Director-General of the Geneva-based International
Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA), to its Board
of Advisors.

Dr. Bale is widely recognized as a leader in the fight against counterfeiting.
As Director-General of IFPMA, he represented the research-based pharmaceutical
industry and other manufacturers of prescription medicines, coordinating with
the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Trade Organization (WTO) as well
as other international organizations concerned with health and trade-related
issues. As Director-General, he served as founding President of the
Pharmaceutical Security Institute (PSI), an industry organization dedicated to
combating counterfeiting. He was also a key collaborator in the establishment of
the World Health Organization International Medical Products Anti-Counterfeiting
Task Force (WHO IMPACT) and served as the first Chair of its Technology
Subcommittee.

"Staying ahead of counterfeiters, while remaining cost-effective, presents a
formidable brand protection challenge. Repackaging and the increasing
sophistication of counterfeiters make clear that we cannot simply protect the
package," said Bale. "InfraTrac`s advanced, compact and highly mobile technology
for protecting the product itself sets the company apart from others in this
field, with the ability to protect generics and biologics as well."

Dr. Bale has prior experience with the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers
of America as Senior Vice President for International Affairs, at
Hewlett-Packard, and in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, in trade
negotiations and in the Camp David negotiations on the settlement of
Israeli/Palestinian issues. In 1986 he received the Distinguished Service Award
from U.S. President Ronald Reagan, the highest award given to senior career
government executives.
