WARSAW, April 29 (Reuters) - Polish Bank BPH BPHW.WA, a unit of General Electric's (GE.N) GE Money, turned to a first-quarter net loss of 34 million zlotys ($9.7 million) due to reserves related to plans to slash its payroll, it said.

BPH, the first Polish listed bank to report a first-quarter loss, said on Wednesday it had a net profit of 47 million zlotys in the year-ago period. (Reporting by Chris Borowski)
