VIENNA, April 28 (Reuters) - Austria on Wednesday confirmed its first case of swine flu in a 28-year-old woman who had returned from a trip to Mexico.

In a statement, the Health Ministry said samples from the woman, who is in quarantine in a Vienna hospital, had tested positive for the H1N1 flu strain.

"The young woman is already on the way to recovery," the statement said. The ministry added that there were also two suspected swine flu cases in Austria, while four other possible cases proved groundless. (Reporting by Sylvia Westall)
