April 29 (Reuters) - Chinese mobile content company Hurray Holding Co Ltd HRAY.O said it received an expression of interest from Best Prospect Overseas Ltd to acquire a 51 percent stake in the company.

The board of Hurray, which provides ringtones over mobile phone networks and the Internet, is evaluating various strategic alternatives to maximize shareholder value, Hurray said.

The company owns Chinese independent record labels Huayi Brothers Music , Freeland Music , New Run Entertainment, Secular Bird and Seed Music Group. Hurray also organizes concerts. (Reporting by S. John Tilak in Bangalore, Editing by Saumyadeb Chakrabarty)
