Golf Equipment Promotions and Free Golf Make MAY the Month to Buy at Golfsmith
AUSTIN, Texas--(Business Wire)--
There`s never been a more perfect time to buy golf gear and get out and play.
Golfsmith International Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: GOLF) announced that starting
today it is giving away 20,000 free rounds of golf with any purchase of $125 or
more in its 73 retail locations across the country. The nationwide promotion,
the first of its kind, brings together the perfect mix of exciting new products
and the ability for golfers to play select local golf courses.

"By offering the latest innovative products from the best brands and giving away
free rounds of golf, we`re giving our guests the best of both worlds and making
it very affordable to play the game," said Martin Hanaka, president and CEO of
Golfsmith. "We`ve partnered with some of the best golf courses across the
country on this special offer. If you`re already a golfer or you want to get
into the game, Golfsmith is giving you the chance to play for free! When you
combine this offer with the current manufacturer promotions on golf clubs, there
is no better time or place to shop for golf than right now at Golfsmith."

Free Rounds of Golf

Golfsmith`s unique promotion will also help drive more golf rounds participation
to local courses - something that courses desperately need as "rounds played"
throughout the country has been flat to slightly down for the last five years.
And guests that receive a free round of golf will likely bring their paying
friends along with them to the course to fill out their foursome.

Guests that shop at Golfsmith`s retail store locations across the country
beginning Wednesday April 29 and make a purchase of $125 or more will qualify
for a free round of golf voucher from a local golf course participating in the
program. Quantities vary by store and are on a first come, first served basis
only.
