AT&T Extends Wireless Network in Roane County

Four New Cell Sites Enhance Coverage along 25 mile stretch of Route 119

SPENCER, W.Va., April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- To address the growing
demand for advanced wireless data products and services, such as the Samsung
Impression(TM) or Blackberry Bold(TM), AT&T* today announced that four new
cell sites have been activated in Roane County. As a result, coverage has been
extended along a 25 mile stretch of Route 119 between I-79 and the town of
Spencer.

"I'm so excited that AT&T's network expansion includes rural Roane County,"
said Delegate Bob Ashley (R-11). "Having more wireless services available is a
terrific development for us and will help improve the way we communicate and

This builds on AT&T's 2008 wireless investment in which it added 34 new cell
sites across the state. From 2006 to 2008, AT&T's total capital investment in
West Virginia was more than $75 million.
