Go Daddy Girl Danica Patrick to Drive "Racy" Reputation Full Throttle in New
Commercial
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(Business Wire)--
GoDaddy.com is the presenting sponsor for the Indianapolis 500 telecast again
this year. As part of the deal, the Web hosting and domain name provider will
have its iconic branding on everything from broadcast segments to aerial and
in-car views, as well as commercials, during the live ABC broadcast May 24.

Go Daddy Girl Danica Patrick will have a high profile at Indy. She`s IndyCar`s
Most Popular driver and will of course be among those competing on the track and
appearing in television ads. Danica, however, will be the only driver starring
in a racy new Go Daddy commercial tailor-made for the Indy 500.

Danica is literally behind the wheel for a twist on speeding tickets in her
latest Go Daddy commercial, titled "Speeding." In the ad, the Go Daddy Girl is
pulled over for going too fast on a deserted highway. Without revealing the
punch line, the premise revolves around a police officer who stops Danica and
quickly proclaims a desire to become a Go Daddy spokesperson.

"This is, by far, the hottest Go Daddy commercial we`ve ever done," says Go
Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. "Considering all the Go Daddy ads rejected
over the years, this is as GoDaddy-esque as it gets. Our Internet-Only version
will have people talking."

Parsons is referencing the commercial`s cue for viewers to go to www.GoDaddy.com
on race day to see the ad`s steamy conclusion. Go Daddy`s "cliffhanger"
tradition has served as a way to entertain viewers and drive Web site traffic.
It`s a technique the company first pioneered during the 2008 Super Bowl.

As far as sponsoring the Indy 500 telecast, Go Daddy has carved out a tradition
there as well. This year marks Go Daddy`s third consecutive broadcast
sponsorship.

"Go Daddy has supported me and the IndyCar Series since the beginning of our
relationship and I love that," Danica said. "A lot of people tease me about the
Go Daddy ads because they push the envelope… but GoDaddy-esque ads are fun to
make, fun to watch… you just never know what`s going to happen!"

Danica`s last big ad was ranked as the 2009 Super Bowl`s Most Watched, according
to TiVo.

She is with Andretti Green Racing and made history as the first woman ever to
win an IndyCar Series race last year in Motegi, Japan. In 2005, she was the
first woman to lead the field at the Indy 500, where she led for 19 laps, before
finishing fourth. Safe to say, millions of viewers will be rooting for the Go
Daddy Girl in her GoDaddy.com sponsored car again this year.

Watch "The Indianapolis 500 broadcast presented by GoDaddy.com" Sunday, May 24.
Live coverage begins at Noon (ET) on ABC TV.
