NXT Nutritionals Holdings, Inc. Announces Actress Aida Turturro Will Make a Personal Appearance at the JDRF`s Spring for a Cure Event

HOLYOKE, Mass.--(Business Wire)--
NXT Nutritionals Holdings, Inc. ("NXT") (OTCBB:NXTH) a developer and marketer of
proprietary, patent-pending healthy natural sweeteners, food and beverage
products, announced today that actress Aida Turturro, most well-known for her
role as Janice Soprano on HBO's acclaimed series "The Sopranos", will be making
a personal appearance on behalf of NXT at the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation International`s "Spring for a Cure" event this Thursday, April 30,
2009. The "Spring for a Cure" event is a culinary, wine and spirits tasting
event featuring fine cuisine and signature products from some of New York`s most
popular restaurants and vendors and is being held at the Metropolitan Pavilion
in New York City. NXT is a sponsor at the event and Aida Turturro, former NBA
Star Ralph Sampson and the management team of NXT will be presenting its SUSTA
Natural Sweetener to those in attendance.

Aida Turturro is best known for her role as Janice Soprano on the award-winning
HBO TV series "The Sopranos", for which she received Emmy Award nominations in
2001 and 2007 and a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2008. She has also appeared in
many films including True Love, What About Bob?, Manhattan Murder Mystery,
Junior, Sleepers, Fallen, Illuminata, Deep Blue Sea, Bringing Out the Dead, and
Romance & Cigarettes. In addition to her successful career as an actress, Ms.
Turturro has worked to raise public awareness of diabetes. In 2001, Ms. Turturro
was diagnosed with diabetes, which resulted in her making adjustments to her

The event this Thursday is dedicated to raising money and awareness for type 1
or juvenile diabetes. Founded in 1970, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
