activities of daily living as picking up a key or holding a pencil. Veterans
that have participated in VA research studies will be on-hand to discuss their
experiences.

Background:
May 3 through 9 is National VA Research Week, themed "Turning Hope into
Reality." The week celebrates the contributions of VA investigators and
collaborators and the Veterans who make the research possible by participating
in VA research studies. With state-of-the-art electronic records and close
public and private partnerships, VA is uniquely equipped to conduct crucial
research. Because most of its researchers also provide clinical care to
Veterans, VA is able to quickly take its findings from laboratory to bedside.
