New Line Delivers Superior Sound Quality and Range
BEAVERTON, Ore., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced American Telephones, which
manufactures AT&T-branded telephones under a license agreement with AT&T
Intellectual Property, today announced the availability of its 2009 cordless
phone line. Featuring proprietary Digitally Enhanced Cordless
Telecommunications (DECT) 6.0 technology for maximum range and clarity, these
feature-rich phone systems offer a number of premium benefits such as better
speakerphone sound quality through Clearspeak(R) technology.

Highlighting the line is the AT&T CL84109 corded/cordless digital answering
system, with a Clearspeak(R) dial-in-base speakerphone that delivers the best
speakerphone sound quality within the AT&T line. This value-added system
provides the convenience and security of a corded system, along with the
flexibility of a cordless handset (included). In addition, the system is
expandable up to 12 handsets with the CL80109 accessory handset using only a
single phone jack. The CL84109 also allows multiple users (up to five
handsets) to be simultaneously active during a call.
Like the first generation of AT&T DECT cordless phones, the CL84109
incorporates exclusive antenna technology that allows conversation range up to
45 percent farther away from the base than other phones.
The AT&T line also includes the CL82209 cordless phone system, featuring a
sleek design and options for expansion up to 12 handsets with the CL80109
accessory handset through a single phone jack. Also offering superior talk
range over the competition, this system provides simultaneous "off-hook"
capability so friends and family can easily use different handsets to talk
during the same call. Other key features include intercom between handsets,
handset speakerphones, storage of up to 50 names/numbers in the Caller ID
history, selectable ring tones and up to 14 minutes of digital recording time.
Both systems deliver rich features at affordable prices under $75, making them
ideal for multi-user households or small office/home office environments.
"Families and consumers who desire a high-value product and easy-to-use
function in their home or office will enjoy the rich quality, look and
features of the new 2009 AT&T line," said Matt Ramage, senior vice president,
product management, at Advanced American Telephones. "Every year, we focus on
raising the bar with our offerings to deliver best-in-class cordless phone
features, while satisfying a range of needs and budgets."
Demonstrating the company's ongoing commitment to producing sustainable and
environmentally friendly products, the AT&T CL82209 and CL80109 are Energy
Star(R) certified and RoHS compliant. The CL84109 also is powered by an Energy
Star-qualified adapter for less energy consumption.
The new AT&T phones can be purchased online at www.telephones.att.com and at
major retail stores nationwide (additional details below).
