Sunnygram Launches Email Service Bringing Grandma Into the Digital Age in Time
for Mother's Day

GLENDALE, Calif., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunnygram LLC today introduced a
new service bridging the gap between tech-savvy people and older friends and
family without email. Even though older generations are adopting new
technology, a recent Pew Internet and American Life Project survey reports
that 69% of Americans over age 72, or 15.2 million people, are still not on
the Internet. Using Sunnygram, friends and family can submit unlimited email
messages and high-resolution digital photos, which are formatted into
customized, colorful newsletters delivered through the U.S. Mail.

"My grandmother loves to get mail, but everyone else in the family uses
email," said Jim Whiting, co-founder and Sunnygram user. "We created
Sunnygram to reconnect families, allowing the younger crowd to email, which
they already do every day, while older people get to enjoy letters the
old-fashioned way."

At Sunnygram.com, subscribers assign an email address (like mom@sunnygram.com)
to a non-computer user, and designate friends and family who will be regular
senders. Sunnygram newsletters are generated on a weekly basis, in regular or
large-sized font, on personalized stationery. Recipients can respond for free
using a pre-paid letter or by leaving a voice mail message. Sunnygram
automatically sends the written or recorded response back to the sender by
email.

Inez Patterson of El Cajon, California is an 81-year old great-grandmother who
has never used a computer but loves getting letters. A new Sunnygram
customer, she looks forward to seeing the bright-yellow envelopes arrive in
the mail. "I get to hear from my grandchildren much more often," said
Patterson. "And I love seeing the everyday pictures of what they're doing."

A Sunnygram subscription is $9.95 per month for unlimited messages, and
Sunnygram is currently offering one-month free to new subscribers.
