Memphis Chamber of Commerce Partners With Onvia, Inc. to Help Members Secure
Government Business in Local Communities

SEATTLE, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Greater Memphis Chamber has partnered
with Onvia, Inc. to deliver daily notifications, which include actual project
information for state, local, and education bids and RFPs including
notification of projects funded by the government economic recovery plan. At
a time when businesses are struggling, the Chamber has identified a way to
help its members and community by providing details of government projects -
including economic recovery funded projects - which could speed capital
absorption in its local community, creating and preserving jobs.

"The biggest need for our members in these challenging economic times is new
business opportunities," said Linda Cornish, Vice President of Member
Development at the Greater Memphis Chamber. "By incorporating this benefit
into their membership, members will have another added-value opportunity to
potentially grow their business."

The Greater Memphis Chamber is the first Chamber of Commerce to have partnered
with Onvia, Inc., a leading provider of public and private bid notification
services. "The Onvia team has spent the better part of the last 4 months
creating a unique and complete database of stimulus-related procurement
opportunities to enhance our ongoing coverage of all government procurement.
The Greater Memphis Chamber partnership is an outgrowth of our company's
commitment to improve the flow of information between government and business
and our desire to contribute to the critical needs of both constituencies,"
said Mike Pickett, Onvia CEO.

"By receiving notice of bids and RFPs on a daily basis, the Onvia service will
greatly benefit all businesses, large and small, in the Memphis MSA," said
Lynn L. Lanigan, President and CEO, Lanigan Worldwide Moving & Warehousing,
Inc. "It will be a benefit that will cause me to continue to invest with the
Chamber for many years to come."

"We want our members to have an advantage and excel," said John Moore,
President & CEO, Greater Memphis Chamber. "This level of access to new
business will generate revenue, create more jobs and allow our local companies
to grow."
