Alice Frazier Joins Cardinal as Executive Vice President

TYSONS CORNER, Va.--(Business Wire)--
Cardinal Bank (NASDAQ: CFNL) announced today that Alice P. Frazier, formerly
Loudoun County area executive for BB&T Corporation, has joined the company as
executive vice president. 

Ms. Frazier`s broad commercial banking experience and strong leadership skills
and knowledge of the local Washington metropolitan market make her the perfect
candidate for Cardinal`s executive team. She previously served as chief
financial officer for Middleburg Financial Corp. from 1993 - 2004, then as chief
operating officer until 2007. In May 2007, Frazier joined BB&T as senior vice
president and Loudoun County area executive.

including Loudoun Cares, Loudoun Education Foundation and Loudoun School
