`Under the Same Moon` Wins Top Latino DVD Honors

LONG BEACH, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
The DVD for the record-breaking film Under the Same Moon from 20th Century Fox
won the top honor at the fifth annual Latino DVD Awards April 28, earning Best
of Show as well as Best Theatrical DVD.

The honor was announced at an awards dinner and ceremony held at the Museum of
Latin American Art in Long Beach, Calif. The Latino DVD Awards were presented by
Home Media Magazine.

The ceremony presented awards to winners in nineother categories as voted by a
panel of judges comprised of top DVD critics, journalists and consumers.

Xenon Pictures swept the awards, winning four awards: Best TV DVD for the
four-DVD novela set Destilando Amor, Best Packaging for the embossed O-ring
encased Guadalupe and Best Classic DVD for the 1973 lucha libra classic Santo
Contra Los Asesinos de Otros Mundos, and Best Special Feature/Bonus Material for
Pitbull`s La Esquina, which tied with Maya Entertainment`s Maldeamores.

Maya took hold of two awards itself. Its second win came from Talento de Barrio,
which won for Best Blu-ray Disc, a new category added this year to recognize the
burgeoning high-definition format.

Prior to the ceremony, comedian Willie Barcena appeared for a special guest
performance. Barcena recently shot his first one-hour standup special, Deal With
It, at Hollywood`s El Portal Theatre. The live stand-up show which will air on
Comedy Central May 2 and heads to DVD May 5 from Salient Media and Vivendi
Entertainment and will feature extras such as never-before-seen footage and his
famous YouTube "The Wrestler" animation from Clyde Comix.
