MILFORD, NH, Apr 29 (MARKET WIRE) --
AdaptivCool, the data center thermal management division of Degree
Controls, Inc. (DegreeC), today announced a thirty-day free trial for
HotSpotr(TM), a system that efficiently eliminates data center hot spots.
The trial offer starts immediately and applies to the HotSpotr HT-500.
Each HotSpotr can eliminate the hot spots in one to three racks.
Information on the HotSpotr free trial is available at
http://www.adaptivcool.com/freetrial. Data center operators will be able
to take advantage of this offer through June 20, 2009 with no commitments
or obligations.
For the last two years, Andover, Mass-based NaviSite, Inc. (NASDAQ: NAVI),
a leading provider of enterprise hosting and application solutions, has
been using HotSpotr at their San Jose, Calif and Andover, Mass facilities.
"We are extremely pleased with the performance of the HotSpotr line," said
Jason Clark, NaviSite's Data Center Design Engineer. "HotSpotr has enabled
us to better manage our thermal conditions as well as achieve higher
levels of density within our data centers."
HotSpotr works by supplying cold air preferentially to hot racks in a data
center and exhausting the hot air directly back to the CRAC (Computer Room
Air Conditioner) that can handle the heating load best. By eliminating
hot spots, HotSpotr virtually eliminates equipment failure due to
overheating, and therefore increases computer uptime and reduces the need
to spend money on additional CRACs.
"We are so confident in the performance of HotSpotr that we are giving
data center and facility managers across the country the chance to
experience the Thermal Peace of Mind(TM) that hundreds of data center
operators have experienced since HotSpotr was unveiled two years ago,"
said Rajesh Nair, General Manager of AdaptivCool. "This offer is
especially helpful given the current economic climate and the pressure on
organizations to spend wisely."

cooling demand and controls data center airflow dynamically via floor- and
ceiling-mounted air movers, reducing electrical consumption for data
center cooling by up to thirty percent. In addition to RSIC, AdaptivCool
also offers HotSpotr, a packaged product that eliminates data center
hotspots. AdaptivCool's consulting services provide data center and IT
managers with the tools necessary to ensure Thermal Peace of Mind(TM) in
the data center. Services include CFD analysis, energy and thermal
monitoring, as well as general best practices to help data centers
achieve maximum efficiency.
