Visa Inc. Announces Intent to File a Shelf Registration Statement

SAN FRANCISCO, April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) today
announced that it intends to file a universal shelf registration statement on
Form S-3 with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Visa anticipates that it
will file such registration statement within the next 10 days.
Although the Company expects to have the flexibility under the universal shelf
to quickly access the capital markets with either equity or debt security
offerings, Visa has no immediate plans to issue any such securities.
