GeoMet, Inc. (NASDAQ: GMET) announced today that it will file its Form
10-Q for the quarterly period ended March 31, 2009 with the Securities
and Exchange Commission and issue its first quarter 2009 results of
operations and financial condition after the market closes on Friday, May
8, 2009.

    The Company will hold its quarterly conference call on Monday, May 11,
