Mileage-Maximizing Techniques Give Fusion Hybrid 81.5 MPG, World Record
Using mileage-maximizing techniques such as smooth acceleration and coasting
to red lights, a team of drivers were able to achieve 1,445 miles - driving

midsize sedan. The challenge team, which included NASCAR star Carl Edwards,
high-mileage trailblazer Wayne Gerdes and several Ford engineers, raised more
than $8,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in the process.

Fusion to be her next new vehicle. The new model is rated a "Top Safety Pick"
by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). more...
