"As a student housing manager and service provider, our product is our talent pool. With the addition of Rob, our campus housing management product offering, range and ability to execute just got that much stronger." "UCH Management Group has an amazing story and philosophy," said Martin. "We are very well positioned to deliver a level of service to campus housing owners, developers and investors that is in short supply nationally: customized and focused solutions for unique situations and properties versus a cookie-cutter student housing management approach offered by larger commodity operators. The entrepreneurial spirit and skills of this team make for a natural fit, and I am eager to begin contributing to the success and continued growth of United Campus Housing Management as a student housing industry leader." Martin has more than 15 years of experience ranging from traditional university housing to national REITs, working with industry leaders throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. He has been on the ground leading transition and stabilization through some of the largest student housing expansions in U.S. history. Martin's experience includes tenures at American Campus Communities, College Park Communities, Campus Apartments, LLC, and FirstWorthing. In 2007 Martin formed Campus Housing Consulting to fill the advisory need for owners and investors entering or expanding in the student sector. "Rob is a perfect fit for UCH Management Group," explained Tim Roggen, Sr. Vice President of UCHMG. "Rob's perspectives on what the student experience should be is exactly in line with the UCH philosophy. Additionally, he has participated and lead student operators through periods of growth, experience that will be helpful as we continue to grow." A graduate of Queen's University, International Study Centre with a Certificate of International Business; Martin also earned an MBA and BA from the University of New Brunswick where he began his student housing career as a resident assistant in a 300 bed on campus residence hall. Formed in 2001 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, UCH Management Group (UCHMG) is an operating company providing management services for student housing properties, on or off-campus, and specializing in new starts, turn-arounds, repositioning and distressed assets.
