SINGAPORE--(Business Wire)--
Green Packet Berhad, a leading developer of next generation mobile broadband and
networking solutions, sealed an agreement with Taiwan-based Tatung Infocomm
Company to enhance the connectivity capabilities of Tatung`s wireless broadband
services.

The agreement will see Green Packet providing Tatung InfoComm, a leading WiMAX
operator on 2.5GHz frequency, with customised and enhanced edition of the
Intouch Connection Management Platform. This provision will greatly improve
Tatung InfoComm`s ability to offer seamless mobility across networks over
secured mobile VPN. An example of this would be a user moving from Tatung WiMAX
to WiFi and back to a WiMAX coverage area, enjoying seamless connectivity
without ever having to reestablish a new connection.

The enhanced Green Packet Intouch Connection Management Platform will also
feature an embedded `widget tool` which allows users to buy their favorite
value-added-services (VAS), such as Live Channel, Video-On-Demand, Match
Schedule & News, World Game Ticket, Music, Movies and Games from a single access
point.

Speaking about the deal, Mr. Kelvin Lee, Senior General Manager, Green Packet
Berhad said, "End users demand the freedom to move from one location to the next
without having to reconnect or switch services. Operators that can provide this
uninterrupted automatic seamless switching of networks plus a host of VAS, wins
the ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) battle because their consumers are happy and
loyal which translates to increased usage."

"Tatung InfoComm went through a rigorous selection process to ensure the best
possible partner that can give us a competitive edge. Particularly important for
us were commitment to the WiMAX technology and strong corporate standing. But
what tipped the scale for Green Packet was its highly customizable and flexible
Intouch Connection Management Platform combined with its in depth understanding
of our market, " said Peter Yen, President, Tatung Infocomm Company.

The deal marks Green Packet`s expansion into the niche WiMAX operator market,
providing carrier-grade connection management solutions.

Green Packet`s Intouch Connection Management Platform is compatible with most
WiMAX chipsets in the market. The software is complemented by the Intouch VAS
Platform that allows Tatung InfoComm to appoint third party developers to build
value-added applications to be pushed to the Connection Manager. The initial
release will be launched in conjunction with The World Games in May this year.
