BRIEF-UPM-Kymmene Q1 losses deeper than forecast

HELSINKI, April 29 (Reuters) - Finnish papermaker UPM-Kymmene (UPM1V.HE) said on Wednesday:

* Q1 sales 1.86 billion euros ($2.42 billion) vs 2.08 bln avg estimate in Reuters poll of analysts

* Q1 operating loss 95 mln euros vs avg estimate of a loss of 9 mln in Reuters poll. Analysts' forecasts ranged from loss of 115 mln to profit of 85 mln.

* Sees markedly lower 2009 deliveries vs 2008

* Sees temporary downtime in most product lines in 2009

* Sees price pressures due to excess supply

* Sees somewhat higher Q2 deliveries vs Q1

* Sees 2009 CAPEX at 300 mln euros

* Sees raw material costs in 2009 lower than 2008
