ETF Securities platinum holdings fall 5 pct on Apr 30
LONDON |
LONDON May 1 (Reuters) - The amount of metal ETF Securities holds to back its Physical Platinum exchange-traded commodity (PHPT.L) fell 5 percent on April 30, figures released on the company's website showed on Friday.
The ETC now holds 334,559 ounces of bullion, against 351,180 ounces on Thursday.
ETCs issue securities backed by physical stocks of a given commodity. Buying of precious metals to back ETCs and similar products has formed a major plank of demand in recent years.
