WASHINGTON |
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The chairman of a key committee in the U.S. House of Representatives said on Tuesday he was determined to have a new climate change bill passed by the end of the year.
"We are determined to pass a bill by this year," Representative Henry Waxman told reporters.
The bill is crucial for the U.S. position in international talks on global warming in December.
