SOCIETE GENERALE (SOGN.PA)

The French bank plans to hire around 20 senior corporate finance bankers and 15 specialist mergers and acquisitions advisers, a spokeswoman for the bank said. [nLB627960]

NOMURA HOLDINGS (8604.T)

The Japanese bank has hired Matthew French to bolster its restructuring team in London, a company spokeswoman said. French joins from UBS (UBSN.VX), where he worked for less than a year. [nLB81501]

CITIGROUP (C.N)

Citi Global Transaction Services has named Ivo Distelbrink managing director, Asia Pacific and Japan head of treasury and trade solutions. Previously, Distelbrink was head of sales for treasury and trade solutions in Asia Pacific and Japan.

NOMURA HOLDINGS

The Japanese bank said it has hired equity analysts from Dresdner Kleinwort, Citigroup and RBS. Mark McVicar, Joel Copp-Barton and Andrew Evans are joining Nomura from Dresdner Kleinwort, which is losing staff as its owner Commerzbank (CBKG.DE) retreats from London. Marc Van't Sant and Ed Steele will join from Citigroup (C.N) to cover business services. Simon Larkin and Nick Thomas will join to cover leisure from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L). [nLB49944]

BARCLAYS WEALTH

The global wealth manager, has appointed Craig Lewis as managing director and head of investment advisory within its Investment & Product Office. Lewis joins from Credit Suisse, where he was most recently managing director, responsible for Hedge Fund Advisory within asset management.

BRAMDEAN ALTERNATIVES BRAL.L

The investment company's non-executive director Peter Barton has offered to resign to address a potential conflict of interest.

TOKIO MARINE ASSET MANAGEMENT CO LTD (TMA)

The asset management company said Akiyoshi Oba will replace Yoichiro Iwama as president. After the succession, Iwama will assume the role of adviser at TMA. Previously, Oba was president & CEO at Mizuho Pension Research Institute. (Compiled by Mansi Dutta in Bangalore)
