Industry-Leading Power Density and 93% Efficiency for the OEM Market
SIMI VALLEY, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
N2Power, a Qualstar Company (NASDAQ: QBAK), today announced the first models of
the XL375 Series, a family of very compact, 375 watt AC-DC switching power
supplies. Seven models deliver output voltages from 12V to 56V, and up to four
units can be wire-ORed together to increase the total main output power up to
1,400 watts.

Leveraging N2Power`s unique "green" packaging technology, the XL375 Series
supplies deliver more power in less space, while reducing wasted input power and
lowering cooling requirements. N2Power`s patented design leaves the heat in the
load, not in the power supply, reducing power consumption, improving reliability
and lowering the cost of ownership.

The XL375 family is designed for OEM applications such as industrial automation,
telecommunications, gaming systems, security and surveillance systems, and
network servers. The XL375 Series delivers 375 watts of output power from just
16.5 square inches of system design real estate. Very low profile packaging
yields more than 15 watts per cubic inch power density in less than 1U, making
the system designer`s job much easier.

"The XL375 Series delivers greater efficiency and packs more power in a smaller
package than any other product on the market. This gives our OEM customers a
distinct packaging benefit, while also reducing overall power consumption and
cooling requirements," said Randy Johnson, N2Power business unit manager. "Our
unique technology gives OEM engineers new flexibility in power system design
that pays real competitive dividends in their final products."

The XL375 Series incorporates the same industry leading features as its widely
regarded XL125, XL160 and XL275 power supply families, including active power
factor correction for reduced input power, active inrush current protection,
active current sharing circuitry and remote on-off. Notably, the XL375 Series
allows both 5V standby and 12V auxiliary outputs to be wired Or-able when the
main output is disabled. Finally, synchronous rectification delivers
exceptionally high efficiency: up to 93% in some models.

N2Power supplies meet a full range of international agency requirements,
including RoHS, UL, DEMKO, CE Mark and FCC Class B.

N2Power`s XL375 family of power supplies is sold worldwide through its network
of representatives and distributors. Sample units are available. Call
