Laboratory and Analytical Techniques
Booths B1-C11 in Hall 6.1 and L28 - L29 in Hall 8

Building on its industry-leading position in mass spectrometry, the company will
introduce new Thermo Scientific instruments, accessories and software that offer
advanced performance while helping customers to meet increasing productivity
demands. The new LTQ Velos features a dual-pressure trap design and higher
efficiency API source, making it the industry`s fastest and most-sensitive ion
trap mass spectrometer. The unique dual-pressure trap technology enables the use
of optimal pressures during ion trapping and subsequent analysis, increasing
both scan speed and resolution. These faster scan rates can help reduce cycle
times by up to 50 percent, and significantly increase the number of proteins and
peptides identified.

The LTQ Orbitrap Velos combines new dual-trap Velos technology with a new
Higher-Energy Collisional Dissociation (HCD) cell on the company`s award-winning
Orbitrap mass analyzer platform to routinely deliver ultrahigh resolution and
accurate mass data from a unique hybrid format. This technology combination
offers increased speed, sequence coverage and confidence in protein
identification. The Thermo Scientific LTQ Orbitrap platform remains the most
comprehensive structural identification mass spectrometry instrument, making it
the system of choice for protein and metabolite identification, characterization
and quantitation.

The benchtop Thermo Scientific Exactive is the company`s latest high performance
liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) system, delivering dramatically
simplified sample screening and quantitation for customers looking to improve
workflows in pharmaceutical, food, environmental and industrial laboratories.
Built on the Orbitrap platform, Exactive features full-scan,
ultrahigh-resolution, accurate mass capabilities while delivering simultaneous
qualitative and quantitative results. While simple to operate, Exactive sets new
standards for LC-MS performance at resolutions up to 100,000. Its intuitive new
Pathfinder software employs pre-configured methods that allow non-specialists to
operate the system in "walk-up" mode.

For food and environmental safety testing, Thermo Fisher will feature the new
TSQ Quantum Access MAX triple-stage quadrupole mass spectrometry system and new
TraceFinder software, which comes with pre-configured methods to enable analysis
in minutes instead of hours or days. This Thermo Scientific solution is designed
to help laboratories meet increasingly stringent monitoring requirements,
simplify analysis, streamline workflows and boost productivity.

Launching for the first time in Europe at ACHEMA 2009 will be the company`s
latest combustion elemental analyzer, the Thermo Scientific TITAN 4000. This
innovative product is designed for today's demanding petrochemical industries.
Unique combustion technology reduces the use of consumables and minimizes
instrument size, saving bench space in the laboratory. Powerful advances in
technology within the TITAN 4000 deliver exceptional results, including Total
Nitrogen/Total Sulfur (TN/TS) analysis, in some cases of less than two minutes.

Two new Thermo Scientific centrifuge series will be on display. The Heraeus®
three-liter general- purpose series and the Heraeus Megafuge® 40 centrifuge
series provide high capacity and ergonomics for routine sample preparations. The
Heraeus centrifuges incorporate patented, market-leading technology for superior
high-throughput processing. With a compact and user-friendly design, both
centrifuge lines combine energy efficiency with innovation.

New Thermo Scientific FH100 peristaltic pump systems provide a number of
important advantages for fluid-handling applications in life sciences,
pharmaceutical and industrial markets. Features include single-channel, variable
flow and a variable speed range. The unit`s powerful motor provides accurate
speed control and repeatability as well as remote control operation. The pump is
also reversible and includes an integrated tachometer.

Also on display will be a new extension of the Thermo Scientific HERAfreeze
ultralow temperature upright freezers, which are ideal for safeguarding valuable
laboratory samples. The HERAfreeze® line features innovative thin-wall
insulation technology for maximum interior storage capacity without increasing
the footprint of the cabinet. A patented refrigeration system and a robust
electronics platform provide excellent energy efficiency, temperature stability
and fast recovery times across the entire range, to help ensure high sample
integrity.

Two new versions of the Thermo Scientific HAAKE line of refrigerated and heated
baths will meet pharmaceutical, chemical and industrial laboratory requirements
for temperature control. These cost-efficient, highly reliable products offer
energy-saving features, configurability and low-noise operation, all in a small
footprint.

An updated Reaction Block for determining compound solubility will also be on
display. The Thermo Scientific STEM Integrity 10 is a highly sensitive,
10-channel detection system that accurately maintains conditions within each of
10 individual cells, delivering temperature stability and accuracy. The
Integrity 10 solubility and crystallization software provides full data logging
of all key parameters using PC control. Experimental records and data are
clearly displayed for convenient, at-a-glance monitoring.

Instrumentation, Control and Automation
Booths H40 - J41 in Hall 10.1

The instrumentation, control and automation halls will showcase a number of new
Thermo Scientific products and services. The HAAKE MARS rheometer precisely
analyzes a material`s processability and temperature-related mechanical changes
and fully meets all R&D rheological requirements. The instrument can perform
measurements on diluted samples within a wide temperature range. The HAAKE MARS
platform is modular in design, supporting future technical innovations and
assuring compatibility based on the wide range of accessories.

Also featured on the booth is the Thermo Scientific family of flowmeters. The
new M-PULSe® is an ultrasonic flowmeter that combines a multi-path ultrasonic
flowmeter with a fast flow computer to create a liquid flow measurement system
with superior accuracy. Ideal for custody transfer and leak detection, the
system`s accuracy surpasses the API-required custody transfer specification,
making it the most accurate flowmeter on the market today. The next-generation
AutoPILOT PRO is a new gas flow computer designed to scale from a simple,
single-run measurement application to six runs with full station control. This
accurate, easy-to-use instrument features full USB support and is simple to
configure with no programming required, delivering increased productivity and
