TORONTO, May 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Infrastructure Materials Corp.
(NASDAQ OTC-BB: Symbol IFAM) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the assay
results from the remaining 6 holes of the 10 hole drill program (3,400 feet)
completed on the Blue Nose Limestone Project. The property is located in
Lincoln County, Nevada, approximately 90 miles north east of Las Vegas.
Results from the remaining six holes of the recent drilling include assays
that ranged predominantly between 88% and 100% calcium carbonate (CaCO3) with
holes 8 and 10 failing to intercept any significant cement grade thicknesses
or values within 300 feet of the surface due to their position being higher in
the stratagraphic section. Based upon an analysis of the first phase of
drilling it appears that the limestone beds are dipping to the west. The
remaining eight holes drilled in the first phase drill program are lower in
the stratigraphic section and as a result intercepted the limestone bed with
economic cement grade values. Strip ratios in the area of the drill holes are
considered acceptable. Only nominal areas of elevated magnesium were
encountered and do not appear to affect the overall value of the cement grade
zone. A detailed breakdown of assay results on the first four holes was
announced on April 28, 2009 and assays of the other four holes that
intersected the zone in the drill program are listed in the table below.

Phase two of the drill program will test the area along strike in the zone
drilled in phase one. The phase three drill program will concentrate on the
stratigraphic horizon which is exposed on the surface to the east of the phase
one drill plan. The dimensions of this area are approximately 1,250 feet from
east to west and 1 mile from north to south based on surface exposures.
Limestone is the primary ingredient in the production of cement, which in turn
is used to make concrete. To make cement, limestone is heated in a kiln to
1450 degrees celsius with other additives (iron, alumina, and silica),
resulting in a hard substance called clinker. Gypsum is then added to the
clinker, and the mixture is ground to powder; gypsum provides the necessary
setting characteristics and some compressive strength. The key component in
limestone for making cement is calcium carbonate (CaCO3). The limestone grade
needs to be about 88% calcium carbonate or better. It takes two tons of
limestone when processed with small quantities of other raw materials to
produce 1.2 tons of cement. It is possible to take below grade material and
blend it with higher grade material to meet grade requirements provided that
there are no excessive contaminants like magnesium.
A 200 million ton resource would have a 130 life expectancy for a plant
producing 2500 metric tons of cement per day and 76 years at 4500 metric tons
per day, based on 2 tons of limestone producing 1.2 tons of cement. The
current price of cement can fluctuate but the range is between $100.00 and
$125.00 US per ton. Given the weight of cement, transportation to market
remains an integral element of cement economics. It is for this reason that
limestone resource developments must be within a short distance to rail
transportation for long hall markets and within approximately 250 miles for
truck shipment to markets.

Infrastructure Materials Corp. is an exploration stage mining company that is
directing its efforts to the development of cement grade limestone deposits in
strategic locations in the United States.
