Lockton Chicago Named as one of the 2009 Best Places to Work in Illinois

Lockton Chicago is again named one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois. This
statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and
honor the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the state's economy,
its workforce and businesses. The awards program was created in 2006 and is a
project of The Business Ledger, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
- Illinois State Council, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the Workforce Boards
of Metropolitan Chicago, the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago
(HRMAC) and Best Companies Group.

The 2009 Best Places to Work in Illinois list is made up of 20 companies in the
small/medium-sized list (15-249 employees) and 10 companies in the large-sized
list (250+ employees).

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the
Best Places to Work in Illinois. The first part consisted of evaluating each
nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics, worth
approximately 25% of the total evaluation. An employee survey measured the
employee experience, worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The
combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best
Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Illinois
and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final
rankings.

Lockton will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Illinois
awards ceremony coordinated by The Business Ledger on May 19th and will be
profiled in a special publication by The Business Ledger on June 29th. The final
rankings will be announced at the event.
