Stephen Murphy Named Project Manager for Orlando

MIAMI, May 11 /PRNewswire / -- Zyscovich Architects has expanded into Central
Florida.  The nationally renowned firm with offices in Miami, West Palm Beach
and New York City, has named Stephen Murphy, AIA, as Director of its new
Orlando office to lead the expansion initiative.

Zyscovich Architects can better serve its master planning and educational
clients in the Central Florida area with the new location.  In addition, the
firm sees great opportunities to offer its national expertise in urban design
and sustainable architecture to this exciting market.  Following Managing
Principal Bernard Zyscovich'sReal Urbanism approach, the firm currently is
creating a vision and future land use plan for the City of Jacksonville to
reshape the city into an authentic and inviting urban environment.  The plan
will implement growth codes and regulations that reflect the newer, "smarter"
cities of the 21st Century.  

Zyscovich's land use and urban redevelopment practice received the 2008
Florida American Planning Association Award of Excellence for its City of West
Palm Beach Downtown Master Plan Update and Urban Regulations.  The firm also
was selected as the American Institute of Architects Florida Firm of The Year
for 2008-09.

Zyscovich Architects has extensive experience in educational facility design,
including South Florida's first LEED(R) K-12 school campus, Pine Jog
Elementary School and adjacent Florida Atlantic University Pine Jog
Environmental Education Center, which already has received its LEED Gold
Certification.  Pine Jog also was named "Best Elementary School in Florida" by
the Florida Educational Facilities Planners' Association.

Previously director of architecture for Starmer Ranaldi Planning and
Architecture, Inc. in Oviedo, Fla., Murphy will direct Zyscovich's downtown
Orlando regional office and manage the firm's projects throughout Central
Florida.
