Residents of Oklahoma can receive immediate access to National Weather Service
alerts during severe weather season and throughout the year through the use of
the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management`s (OEM) Weather Notification
System, located at http://www.weatheralerts.ok.gov. At no cost, subscribers can
receive weather alerts for up to five counties sent to their email address
and/or mobile device (cell phones, PDAs). Standard text messaging rates apply. 

Subscribers can select which alerts to receive including:

* Winter (all winter weather related occurrences) 
* Flash Flood (only warnings) 
* Severe Thunderstorm (warnings and/or watches) 
* Tornado (warnings and/or watches)
