Compliance with FIPS 140-2 Broadens Market for CyberFusion Integration Suite
GARDEN CITY, N.Y.--(Business Wire)--
Proginet Corporation (OTCBB: PRGF), a world leader in multi-platform file
transfer solutions, today announced that CyberFusion Integration Suite (CFI)®,
the Company`s flagship solution for advanced managed file transfer, is now FIPS
140-2 compliant and generally available. CFI 6.5 meets the Federal Information
Processing Standards and can now be selected and deployed by government agencies
and their commercial and institutional business partners.

FIPS 140-2 is a Government standard that specifies the security requirements
that will be satisfied by a cryptographic module utilized within a security
system protecting sensitive but unclassified information. The National Institute
of Standards and Technology (NIST) issued the 140 Publication Series to
coordinate the requirements and standards for cryptographic modules which
include both hardware and software components for use by departments and
agencies of the United States federal government. Proginet states that it has
embedded NIST Certified FIPS 140-2 Modules in the CFI Suite in accordance with
the Security Policies associated with each of the certified FIPS 140-2 modules,
and in conformance with CMVP Implementation Guidance guidelines.

"Government is an important market for Proginet and one in which we believe we
can compete successfully," stated Jack Gazzola, Proginet`s Vice President of
Sales. "At the end of our last fiscal year, we announced a $900,000 software
license agreement with a large U.S. federal agency. Since then, we`ve seen an
upsurge of interest in our solutions from a range of government entities and
their business partners. By achieving FIPS compliance, we will be able to
compete in this marketplace and hopefully capitalize on this interest," he
concluded.

"While economic factors are impacting everybody, federal IT budgets tend not to
be as volatile as those of commercial businesses," added Kevin Bohan, Proginet`s
Chief Information Officer. This is good in a tough economy and Government is a
market we should be able to do well in. There seems to be widespread recognition
among federal CIOs and their peers that modernizing their IT infrastructures can
lead to improved performance and reduced overall costs. This includes building
enterprise architectures and creating technology standards. CFI is a natural fit
for these kinds of modernization scenarios."
