Level 3 Increasing Presence in D.C. Area; Committed to Providing Competitive
Alternative for Businesses

HERNDON, Va., May 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Level 3 Communications, Inc.'s
(Nasdaq: LVLT) Business Markets Group (BMG) today announced that it is
expanding its operations in the Washington, D.C., area. This initiative is
designed to provide a world class customer experience for mid-market business
customers throughout the area.
