AirTran Airways Launches New Service in Branson, Mo.

ORLANDO, Fla., May 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary
of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today launched daily nonstop flights
from Branson Airport in Branson, Mo., the first privately financed and
commercially operated airport in the United States, to Hartsfield-Jackson
Atlanta International Airport and General Mitchell International Airport in
Milwaukee, Wis., with the help of legendary singer Lee Greenwood. During the
event, Greenwood celebrated the new service by wowing the crowd with his hit
song "God Bless the U.S.A."

*All fares are one-way. Introductory sale fare is non-refundable, and a $75
fee per person applies to any change made after purchase plus any applicable
increase in airfare. Introductory sale fares require a 7-day advance purchase
and must be purchased by June 3, 2009 and travel must be completed by June 10,
2009. A first bag may be checked for a fee of up to $15 per person and a
second bag may be checked for a fee of up to $25 per person. Reservations may
be obtained or changed through an AirTran Airways Telephone Reservations
Center for an additional $15.00 per person. Fares, routes, and schedules are
