Monsanto Executives to Address Investor Conferences in May

ST. LOUIS, May 11, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Monsanto Company's (NYSE:
MON) Hugh Grant, chairman, president and chief executive officer; Robb Fraley,
chief technology officer and executive vice president; and Kerry Preete, vice
president of international commercial, will address investors in separate
investor conferences in May.

The Monsanto executives will provide an update on the company's business
performance and expectations, strategic initiatives, product performance,
research-and-development pipeline, and other business matters at these
conferences. The conferences are:

    --  BMO Capital Markets 2009 Agriculture, Protein & Fertilizer
        Conference: On Wednesday, May 13, Monsanto's Fraley will be
        presenting at the BMO Capital Markets 2009 Agriculture, Protein &
        Fertilizer Conference held in New York. Fraley's presentation will
        begin at 12:30 p.m. eastern time.
    --  Gabelli & Company's Specialty Chemical Conference:
        Monsanto's Preete will be presenting at the Gabelli &
        Company's Specialty Chemical Conference on Thursday, May 14, in New
        York.  Preete's presentation will begin at 12:10 p.m. eastern time.


    --  Bernstein Strategic Decisions Conference: Monsanto's Grant will be
        presenting at the Bernstein Strategic Decisions Conference on
Wednesday,
        May 27, in New York.  Grant's presentation will begin at 4 p.m.
        eastern time.
