POWERS LAKE, Wis.--(Business Wire)--
TCGRx (TCG), a leader in pharmacy automation and workflow solutions, announced
at the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) Midyear Meeting in
Orlando, FL. that the company is launching a cost-effective remote dispensing
system for pharmacies that will give them total control of the script
fulfillment process while providing inventory savings to the pharmacies and
nursing facilities.

The easy to use, easy to maintain unit will reduce inventory cost and medication
waste by dispensing medications closer to the time of administration to the
patient. Currently, most pharmacies provide a 30 to 60 day supply of medication
to the patient care facility. In addition to TCG`s new Remote Tablet Packager
(RTP-Series), the company has also created tools to facilitate a centralized
dispensing model based on shorter fill cycles that result in many of the same
benefits as remote dispensing while minimizing capital expenditures.

By allowing the pharmacy to place a controlled access packaging device at the
facility, the nurse can prepare medications for a specific pass time. The end
product, a compliance pouch, is dispensed and administered at the facility. The
compliance pouch is custom labeled, pre-packaged and collated for a one touch
med pass and ease of cart stocking by the nurse. Weekend packages for the times
and days needed are also generated from this system. Pharmacies will have full
control of their business when servicing their customers because the medication
canister filling and prescription order entry will be handled in the pharmacy.

"The market has expressed a need for delivering medications closer to
administration time, so they can provide their customers with a safer process
and quicker access to the medications they distribute," said TCGRx CEO, Duane
Chudy. "Our Remote Tablet Packager is by far the most cost effective way to
provide real time dispensing on the market. Not only is our technology superior
in quality and reliability to the alternatives but our operation costs are
significantly less expensive. Our model truly provides an overall savings for
the entire healthcare system," said Chudy.
